At the end of the 1990s, the largest public urban hammam in Tashkent was demolished. It was located in the old traditional part of the city known as the “Old Town.” The project was originally implemented in 1975 during the Soviet era by architect Andrey Kosinsky, and was rightfully considered a unique piece of architectural heritage. Our group proposed to reconstruct this complex in its original form, using modern technologies and adapting it to today’s consumer. The idea was approved and included in the project for organizing the city’s tourist space. Today, city authorities are working on the concept of the "Old Town" project.
